CERTIFIED EKG TECHNICIAN PROGRAM

The EKG Technician Program at Safe Care Health School provides comprehensive training to become an expert in electrocardiogram (EKG) testing. In just 2 months (120 hours), you will learn how to perform EKG tests, monitor heart conditions, and assist healthcare professionals in diagnosing and treating heart disease.  



Eligibility Requirements 


To enroll in the Phlebotomy Technician Program, you must: 

  1. Be 18 years or older. 
  2. Education: No prior healthcare experience needed. Just bring your passion and willingness to learn.
  3. Provide the following documents: 

  • High school diploma or graduation certificate. 
  • Social Security number. 
  • Driver’s license or government-issued ID. 
  • Physical Examination and Immunizations.
  • Passport-sized photo.

Program Outline

Duration: 2 months

Total Hours:  120

Schedule:

  • Morning Batch: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 8:30 AM – 2:30 PM.
  • Evening Batch: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM.

Module 1: Introduction to EKG and technician responsibilities.

Module 2: Ethics, patient consent, and legal terminology.

Module 3: Cardiovascular anatomy and medical terminology.

Module 4: Operating EKG machines and performing EKG tests.

Module 5: Understanding waveforms, arrhythmias, and heart blocks.

Module 6: Equipment maintenance, stress tests, and Holter monitoring.
